Kidspot: An expert’s guide on Christmas gift ideas for children with autism

With Christmas fast approaching and parents already being whipped into a frenzy over what presents to buy their kids – another issue emerging is for people buying gifts for kids, teens and adults on the autism spectrum

One in 70 people in Australia are on the autism spectrum and parents, extended family and friends across the country are not sure what to buy them for Christmas.

To assist people with their gift-giving, Kathrine Peereboom, mother of three autistic boys and the founder of Spectrum Support, a leading not for profit organisation that undertakes training, awareness-raising, support and education,  has put together a list of helpful suggestions.
