Despina has 17 years clinical experience in nutritional medicine with a research interest in the field of nutrition and mental health. She has worked closely with psychologists to change patients’ lifestyle habits by implementing educational and nutritional programmes. She currently lectures at Western Sydney University in the Health Science faculty where her skills are further used in the areas of curriculum development and academic reviewing. As a member of the Course Advisory Committee she has played a role in the direction of upcoming undergraduate Health Science degrees.
Over the years, Despina has run her own business offering allied health practices to the community and has supported many community events. Despina has been a speaker on various health topics at industry conferences globally and has often been called upon as an authority for various magazines. She hopes to continue to combine her educational skills and nutrition knowledge to support a variety of population group needs.
